They basically said that they suspect fraud on my account. Have I made an online purchase today with Takealot for R2899? Obviously not. So I kept them talking. She then "transferred" me to another person - put the phone on speaker and called on another phone to another woman who then asked me for my login details after a long story. That's when I put the call down.

I received a call from the number and she claimed that she was calling from ABSA Fraud investigation department and asked if she could give a VIP Platinum an authorization to debit my account for an amount of R9000.00 and when I said no, she asked if I made a purchase with Takealot and I said no and then she asked me if I have a banking app, I said no, she then asked how do I access my statements, I then told her that I go to the bank then I asked her if she is not a fraudster herself she got defensive and I asked her to give me her phone numbers as she said I need to go to my bank and she started being defensive and hung up the call.
