Got a call from 0873104296. This person claimed he was calling from Vodacom. More alarmingly - he appeared to have access to my FULL Vodacom contract details including ID number, Address and Bank details. STILL no answer from Vodacom as to how these scammers have all of our information.

As the links above state, these numbers are spam, and terrible. I have blocked them on my phone, but now they are trying with other numbers. They have disturbed sleep, dinners and interviews. It is crazy. It is voice activated, if you talk they connect you... if you don't talk it stays still... perhaps we need small claims court to make it expensive for them to call us...

When I tell him to call the following day while I will be doing my research on the number he used and to weigh the "too good to be true offer" he became aggressive and slammed the phone down

Telemarketer didn't know I worked for Cell C and had my contact details. Telemarketer advised 3G/LTE is faster and more stable than 40Mb VDSL...
Telemarketer advised that my current data costs are more R150+ per Gb..
Telemarketer advised they did not want to sell me anything...
Telemarketer tried to sell me an Telkom 3G data contract...
Telemarketer put down phone when I told her I'm employed by Cell C and that all mobile providers offer better deals than R150 per Gb.
Contacted MondoMobile - logged case with [email protected] - Triston advised he will pull call records for me and provide feedback as to where they obtained my details from. He is a naughty 16 year old boy who lives next to me. I am from Nylstroom. You can phone me on 082 463 7682. He phone my daughter on Saturday 06/02/2016 from this number. I got a missed call this morning from this number and I immediately recognized the number.

I received a call from 0873104296 offering me Screen Insurance. The lady said she was calling from Vodacom. I took it!!! Called Vodacom today and nobody could tell me what was happening. They have not even heard of Vodacom Screen Insurance, a call for 30minutes..... and nobody could see any application or request to activate this service. Clearly a scam I fell for. And now I live in worry that they could take what they want as they have ALL MY DETAILS. Which they had already!
The Answer Is Here replied 7/16/16, 11:17 AMWhy worry, go to the bank and change your account numbers. Then change your contact cell numbers and land line. By changing these details there is no way they can charge you fraudulently as they no longer have your billing details. -

Also received a call from this number, caller (BM) asked to confirm my name, then call just went into static noise, then call ended. I tried calling back from a landline, with same static noise on the other end. Be wary people. Dont confirm anything, rather ask the questions. Static noise at the back end could be tapping into your line. Also check your bills & statements closely and be alert.
