Yesterday I receive a call saying I need to pay 2988 or I'll be take to court.
They also accused me of identity theft and being careful I did not give real details.
They then asked whether to whatsapp or email statement and I said email.
When I got the email my name and ID number is on there.

Which debtor sends u a demand of court without a few months warning SMS or emails whatever the case. U cant be sent to court for 1 demand they have to send u numerous mails or smses to contact them. Fraud doesnt exist if u give a wrong name or whatever. Been to cops already

I have received a call from them this morning in regards to making a payment because of a adult chatline I called.
They sent me their document which looks legit to me however I am scared of making payment as I do not know if this is fraudulent.
Please advise on this as I do not want to pay if its fraudulent and do not want trouble if its real.

Rude and absolutely aggressively stupid how they approach people. The more you ask them questions the more aggresive they become then that PDF comes through via Whatsapp.
I kept telling them that they're crooks and that no one ever approaches people the way they do when accusing them of owing them for money they didn't know they owe. The more I asked, they started calling me stupid and eventually hung up on me. Surely with all the reporting done on these people, SAPS should be able to easily track them down and charge them for the illegal ways they use to get your information? Received a call from this guy, he played a recording of a conversation i had with some lady that i got her number from the newspaper, & now he says i have to pay R1794 before Friday otherwise they will take me court & stuff, someone please help

I got a call from 051 111 0796 - sharon from m.s investigations said i made a sex call, they played my voice recording. The call only lasted less then 2mins, but they chardging me for 10mins. They want me to pay R1794. 00. Yes i allegedly made a call responsding to an add I found on a locAnto website... I didnt know it was a sex line now i owe them R1794 whuch i have to pay by today or i will be taken to court. Received a pdf on WhatsApp... Please assist me.... Im confused I dont know what to do.

Adele called. Played a recording of a prank call I made in December. She said I made the call in Sepetember. Told me I verbally agreed to the opening of an account for which the total charge is R1794.00. The call was 2 minites or so. She said it was 10 minutes. She asked for my email. Sent a WhatsApp messages as well as a PDF with a long text of all that they could do if I do not pay up by 12 tomorrow which included the charge going up to R50000.00. I notify someone. They send me screenshots of this very site and compaints of people recieving the same call from different people of the same amount (R1794.00). Someone please arrest this hag! I have someone visiting capitec to confirm the account number she gave me to send the money. I will also visit the police station. On that call last year, I just said Yes, Ja, Mhmm and ended up laughing at how ridiculous that old lizzard sounded. And now Adele calls from the "Lawyers Office" with a carge for a call account signed Verbally...FOH!
