I recieved a call from this number. The caller explained he is from ABSA home loans and they would like to get permssion to deduct my installment one day earlier if it falls on a weekend or holiday, because apparently they don't deduct on wekends or holidays. He then asked me to "verify" that he is talking to the right person by asking what is my installment date and the amount and also email address. Whereafter I refused to give the information. I told him I don't understand the request, because in the past the installment has always gone through, regardless of the date. I continued by saying I don't want the date changed, for whatever reason whereafter he then replied that if I want it to stay the same I must give him the details. I then told him no and he just dropped the call. He was also very rude and became very aggressive when I told him I'm not giving any information over the phone.

I had a call from this number this morning, with the guy saying his name is Thabo from Absa Home Loans and the reason for his call is that the bank is trying to align the debit date. He was not very articulate which which already raised flags and then he wanted to verify that he was speaking to the right person and he wanted me to tell him what dates my debit orders go off. I told him he should already have that info if he is from the bank. I told him I am not comfortable giving out any info and he just said OK and put the phone down. If he really was from the bank, he wouldn't have been so quick to drop the call.

Outstanding ABSA Credit card payments. Answer their call and make arrangements instead of ignoring or they will call you constantly it becomes annoying.

Caller rings twice daily then recorded announcement says "Please hold, we have an important announcement for you" then after 15 seconds the line dies. I believe they are trying to get my phone data
jay replied 6/25/13, 1:57 PMSame here. When you phone back from a landline, the automated voice thanks you for phoning back and says hold on for operator. However it loops to this the whole time.

It's ABSA Credit Card Collection Agency. y credit card is in arrears and they call to try and get their money. Very irritating though because most of the times the caller just hangs up. Some issues with their calling software. I just ignore this calls because I'm gonna pay my credit card anyways.
