   This number called asking me to verify my ID number for a Standard Bank account. They gave me a partial ID number and asked me to complete it. I refused and terminated the call. Be careful - likely scam.

   This is not Standard Bank, a phishing scam. Caller has my balance daily also knows I am over-limit which Caller Exploits for Maximum Effect, claimed in past comments to be MiWay Insurance, Capitec or simply does not answer to establish that future victim answers. This Syndicate is Slick and Well trained, never admitting they are not Standard Bank, they also have a Cloned Call Centre Service with Voice Prompts Identical to the Bank's at 0861112807 which they send you to to "Verify" their credentials. they also make use of email [email protected] which despite the incredibly long prefix looks legitimate.

   Extremely Dangerous.**ishing Calls, Combine Truth with Lies over the phone. Same Number used to pose as African Bank, MiWay Insurance, First National Bank, they have an insider who knows your Balance & Payment History/Circumstance. Targeted me because I was over limit, Theyl target vulnerable payers using Fear. The Call targeting me starts with "This is Standard Bank, The first 6 digits of you your ID No. are XYXYXX please confirm the last digits of your ID No." Even give you the Actual Bank Call-Centre No. knowing the next time they phone you with bona fide details you will think the call is legitimate. Well Trained and Slick, will never acknowledge they are Scammers. Sent 3 Honey Trap attachments (A Honey Trap WORD,Excel & PDF) to the email they gave, to capture their IP. Mailbox is not serviced by them or Standard Bank. Even the Bank would have triggered the Honey Traps..

   Called my home three times today, but they don't say anything when you answer. Regardless of not being asked for my information, I find continuous calls from numbers with no response on the other end to be highly suspect

   various people call claiming from Standard Bank and ask to talk with another person; even after explaining many times that they got a wrong number - they do not stop and keep calling.
