Have also been harassed by this company by "AMANDA"......preliminary investigation indicates the number belongs to a company known as SALESGENIE, based in Durban. Another number they use is: 087 742 0740. They also have ads listed on OLX and GUMTREE for the purposes of recruiting "Call Center Agents". Contact person is supposedly: AVISH PAKEER whose cell phone number is: 073 349 3021 - you know what to do next :)

I am so sick and tired of getting calls from this number! Continuous calling, sometimes 5 or 6 times a day. The first few times I answered, but then just a blank on the other side. Now I don't answer anymore, but SO ANNOYED! I will do as someone suggested and just block the call completely. Is there any organisation that this can be reported to??? I'm sure it's a breaching consumer law.

15:30 I received SMS that SIMM swop is in progress on my phone. I reported to provider and SIMM swop is reversed.

Got a call just now from the number 0313278100. He quoted my surname and said that he is calling from the credit bureau,from Durban. I told him that the person is gone overseas. He just put the phone down. If he calls again I am going to say I am in China.

guy call me said that my id and phone number was chosen for a prize and I immediately declined and hung up then he called me back 3 TIMES! first and foremost, MTN uses a 6 digit number and when you don't want something from them they WILL NOT call you back... VERY DODGE!

+27313278100 calls me and talks bunch of crap apparently from Transunion? 031 number is durban, transunion is in jhb correct? After all it gets toe R200 something credit notifications from them just say you aint intrested, I told her I'll get it on their website if I'm intrested at a later stage.

A lady Amanda called from 0313278100 and said she is from Virgin Mobile and she offered me a cell contract. She sounded very trustworthy but after reading all the comments and got scared becuase she has ALL my details. Must I change my bank details and stuff?? people are bad these days!!!!!

They called me about 10 times cause I was ignoring the call. Eventually I answered. A lady from MTN calling. She has a good saving on a contract. I told her I have a contract already. She couldn't take a No for an answer. She became very rude. I put the phone down. Pls be careful.

A call came through at my home landline however I was in the garage so my mother took the call, and told me the caller was looking me. She advised the lady on the phone to call in 5 minutes as I had to get out of the garage. When I arrived near the phone, the caller never came back. I checked the missed calls on my cellphone as I imagined if they had my contact info, they would have tried my cell first( which I didn't have working thus why I missed the call) The number was revealed though when I tried to call it back, it said '' it doesn't exist ''. Highly suspicious indeed. I hate this! Just when you were expecting a worthwhile call.

I keep getting a call from this number, but when I pick up, the person on the other side doesn't answer, waits a few seconds and then ends the call. It's frustrating. I won't answer this call again, that's for sure, saved it under "scam" in my telephone book.

Received a call from this number claiming that I would receive a Galaxy Tablet due to me being an old customer of MTN but that I would need to pay R299,00. The person confirmed my ID number and asked me further questions. I told them that I was not prepared to disclose information.

I recived a call from "MTN" on the number 031 327 8100 claiming I can get a special emergency service from Mtn at a small fee.When I declined my interrested the female caller got rude and tried to force me to accept the service. I assume they wanted my banking details however I ended the call quickly. Be careful its a scam.

Claimed to be from MTN and that I'd been specially selected for a special offer that wasn't available in store or online and I had to agree then and there. I put an end to the call when he tried to get my address from me, no doubt he would have asked for more personal information.

I got a call from this number saying they were from ABSA funeral plan and I had free cover for a month. They had all my info. full name, PO Box no etc. I just had to confirm part of my ABSA account no. They told me the first no. and the last 4 nos. and asked me to confirm the middle nos. I refused and ended the call - how did they know my details?

Was called from this number stating they are the Credit Bureau and I am entitled to a free credit check on my personal history. They had the 1st 6 digits of my ID and the last 3 digits and wanted to to confirm the missing 4 digits in the middle. When i refused the guy became aggressive stating he has the information already and just needs me to confirm it so he is sure who he is sending the info to....VERY SUSPECT
