SLD reported Global Travel with the number 0319405872 as Cost trap
A woman from RTR Distributors, "on behalf of Global Travel", called me to find out if I would be interested in receiving shopping discount vouchers for stores "including Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, and many more". I politely told her that I wasn't interested and when she asked why, I explained that there's always a catch with this type of scheme (there's no such thing as a free lunch!) and I did not have the time to listen further. I then ended the call.
After reading others' experience with this caller, I blocked the number. -

A lady just called me now and asked if someone phoned me last week regarding the voucher and when I said nobody phoned , she said its not a problem and told me about the 19500 voucher to buy with on big shops , and i will have to pay 395 for activation , I refused that offer, there is no company in South Africa that could offer you so much for nothing , scams

I got the same type of call from +27 (31) 940 4021. She called me 'lovey' and 'sweetie'. Said that she was going to post my vouchers to me (and apologized for the inconvenience), but just had to confirm some details. When I asked what it was about she hung up.

Phoned me to say I won one hell of a nice holiday. And started out with the wrong info anyway. I asked her how I was selected, and apparently it was randomly from the SA Consumers Data base. I only gave her my postal address where this amazing non existing holiday card will be posted to, but when I refused to give my ID she hanged up. Don't know if they will be able to get to my bank account with only my postal address. Be very careful.

Recieved a call from a guy wanting to know if i received my R10 000 voucher, I said "NO" and he then wanted my PO Box number. I asked what company he was calling from and how i won this R10 000, he evaded the "What company" and went straight to "You were randomly selected"... I asked selected from what database and he must have gotten fedup with my questions and just ended the call

They have all my account details and tried to access my funds, telling me I have won holiday vouchers worth R20 000 and I need to pay an activation fee of R350. They tried to get the activation fee from my NedBank account. Luckily I didn't have any cash in that account. She called and told me I have insufficient funds and I told her that im unemployed, that's where she got rude and said I'm waisting their time then she hung up.

Big Mouth reported unknown with the number +27319405872 as Cost trap
They phoned me yesterday, saying their company is called Global Travel something or the other. She asked me if I'd received some documents in the post. I said no. She then apologised and asked me to confirm my postal address. I asked again, what the company name was. She repeated Global Travel....so I said to her, I've never dealt with this company & wasn't expecting to receive anything from them in the post. She IMMEDIATELY put the phone down. Either this is a new way to bind you into some contract of some sorts, by allowing them to post you stuff OR it's a scam to find out your address for criminal activities ! DON'T be fooled by what they say !
When i said no, she put the phone down.
