As one of the above selfless commenters mentioned, this is likely a fraudulent scam which uses tactical questioning and mispronunciation to splice conversations together from your words and voice. Be careful what you say to them. The client is also using a VoIP number(Internet based telecoms solution) from Intersol which makes it hard to trace the client down. This also tells us that they aren't a legitimate telecoms provider. Thus, ignore and say nothing to the people on the other side of this number.

Lady called me from this number and asked to speak to Thomas (or somebody similar). I told her that I do not know Thomas. She then told me she is from Telkom and started her promotional speech. I did not listen or responded. Seconds later she dropped the call.

Keeps phoning trying to sell new deals, upgrades etc. from Telkom - other times just hangs up or quiet on the other side... The more you say no don't call me again/take me off your call list, the more they harass you! Clearly no respect for the CPA and consumer rights. I have blocked this number.

Extremely unprofessional consult ts calling and claiming to want to offer me a Telkom contract for being a loyal customer. Highly doubt they are affiliated.
On the second call today the caller says hello and I responded that they tried already, the idiot says OK bye and ends the call. -

I received a call today from a lady claiming to work for Telkom mobile. She said I was one of the lucky 3 chosen to win a discounted data package. When I said i would go into the store to enquire, she insisted that I shouldn't. It's a definite scam.

The lady phoned me on my cell. When I pick up and said 2 x hello. Still no one replied. I put my cellphone off. Immediately I was phoned on my work phone. I asked the lady who gave her my cell and work number, she said it is on the data base. I asked her to remove it immediately. She asked why? And get arrogant with me and started raising her voice. She said she want to give me the good news, I won. I asked her never to phone me on my cell or at work.

I have been receiving calls from the same number (which has a recorded message stating that they are a Marketing & Financial Services Company) for the past month or so. They have all my details, and two agents that have contacted me during the past two weeks gave their names as Renaldo and Zaïda. They know that my Telkom contract is expiring soon, and are offering a "Special" contract for upgrade. However, when I ask them to e-mail the details to me, they claim not to have access to e-mail facility. I am very suspicious as when they introduce themselves, they claim to be from TelkomMobile, but when one phones the number 021-0030110, it is definitely not Telkom. This needs to be investigated, as I have no way of verifying their credentials.

After reading all of these comments I got worried and called Telkom on 081180. I explained everything to them and gave them the number. It is a outsourced company that they use for upgrades etc. People please do a bit of research.
