I was pleasantly surprised to be informed that my immediate assistance services had indeed run its due course and needed to be reinstated. i had the most rememberable friday afternoon tea while talking with the friendly gentleman from can infinity. they swiftly reinstated my much needed services and also made me aware of other products i could benefit from. jolly good old chaps

We're sorry to hear about your experience. But before we proceed with a response, it may be within everyone's benefit to understand the context of our actions and the overarching industry we operate in:
Are you familiar with companies that deliver emergency assistance services - the AA? Or that of CLC, Sims, Biz Extend, Red Alert, VAP Sure, FAM, Europe Assist or Innovations, to name a few?
We're quite sure that you might be familiar with the AA, but probably have never heard of the rest - despite some of those companies operating on an international level which rivals that of even the AA.
However, the reason you recognise the AA is that their company markets directly to the public. The other companies, of which CAN Infinity Assistance is included, deal primarily with corporate companies: such as Toyota, Bidvest McCarthy, EDCOR, Discovery Health, etc. These organisations do not facilitate their emergency roadside services, so the process is outsourced to companies like ourselves.
A couple of years ago, we decided to offer services to the general public. Over the years, our company received numerous clients that were in emergencies (such as vehicle accidents) only to discover that their membership has expired and they weren't aware of this. As recent as yesterday, one of our members experienced the same ordeal. To combat this, we decided to
run a campaign to spread awareness but we cannot sense who has emergency roadside assistance with another company or not. Therefore, we communicated that a roadside package (previously with ourselves) has expired (as it technically has) to a section of our database which comprises of all cancelled members. Hence why you may have received this message.
We hope that this clears any misunderstanding.
It's unfortunate that this comment was posted anonymously, but if you - or anyone else reading this - currently believe that
we are an "unethical company trying to catch gullible people", please reach out to us on our website or telephonically so that you can share your experience and we can assist you accordingly (caninfinity.co.za/contact-us/).
That said, we may have previously worked in the shadows for corporate companies, but we are certainly not "shady". We are a
registered company and have operated within this industry for over 15 years. Our members' safety, our accessibility and in this case our transparency, are values we hold dear to the CAN brand. At no point did we imply that your roadside with another company has expired. However, we will make it a point to clarify our messages moving forward - we apologise if this has caused you or anyone else inconvenience.
At the end of the day, we believe that "Together we CAN achieve new heights, together we CAN do it better." As such, we encourage those who are dissatisfied to contact us directly. We can then have a meaningful dialogue, closure and all involved parties can walk away with a better understanding of the situation. -

Just received an sms saying “Ms .... your roadside has expired. Call 0118010001 or reply to this message to re-activate” yet I don’t even have roadside assistance with them or knew they even existed. Scammers trying their luck

Enver Mall replied 8/1/19, 10:16 AMI had the same experience and "reactivated my Roadside" - only subsequently to find that my original Roadside Assistance plan with my original service provider is still very much in place and has not expired. I have demanded that CAN Infinity cancel the "reactivation" and refund my debit orders as they have misled me.
