They called me and asked me for my id number. When i asked the man on the other side which Edgars is he calling from, he hung up. I wonder what they do with people 's id numbers. Lucky enough i didnt give out mine.

I just received a call from +2711 491 1165 also and when i answered a recorded voice of a woman said that she is calling from the edcon group and that there is trouble with my Edgars account. She then proceeded to give me a number to call them back on immediately and hung up.
I believe this is a phishing scam. Edgars won't contact their clients this way.eric replied 6/10/14, 3:40 PMDid you give them your id numbers? Thats probably all they need. I once worked for edcon and there is a scam specializing in counterfeiting peoples card. They use a counterfeit card to buy on your account. When suspecting staff ask them to produce their id the answer is always : idont have it with me but i know it by heart. Does anyone have any information regarding this number? I have been receiving dropped calls from this number at least three times a day, everyday for the past week and a half. I've tried to call the number back but no luck.
