This number is listed on TrueCaller as spam and as belonging to Liquid Telecoms. I called the number back from my landline and it goes unanswered. Do not answer this number and block it.

I got call from this number lady said she's from Standard Bank and I qualify for upgrade on my credit card from gold to titanium when she wanted to confirm my ID number with me I dropped the call. I have the true caller app on my phone and the number shows ABSA, tried phoning the number and its doesn't even rings. I phoned Standard Bank to confirm if they have phoned me they said no its not there number. Please be careful of this number.

THIS LADY SAID SHE IS FROM STANDARD BANK AND THEN THE PHONE WENT DEAD, SHE THEN CALLED BACK AND SAID OK SIR I AM NOT GOING TO KEEP YOU FOR LONG, WHAT I WANTED TO ASK IS MAY I INCREASE YOUR LIMMIT, I REPLIED,"WHAT LIMMIT?". SHE SAID THE LIMMIT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD,I THEN SAID DONT INCREASE ANYTHING BECAUSE THIS IS A STRANGE CALL. SHE THEN DROPPED THE CALL.
WITHOUT ANY SECURITY QUESTIONS TO VERIFY IF I AM THE RIGHT PERSON. THIS IS WHERE I GOT SUSPICIOUS.

Lady called to say that she is from Standard bank and is offering an increase in limit on credit card. She gave first 4 digits of my ID and requested I complete the rest, which I replied to that I am sceptic about divulging the rest of my ID numbers. She then said she does have the rest of the numbers, she just wants to check that she is speaking to the correct person. I then asked whether she is phoning from Standard bank or on behalf of Standard bank? She then made as if there was a bad line, said hello, hello and cut the call off. I tried to call back on the number; the phone rings but remains unanswered.
